Five orange pips
[info]makc1
This story is about young man John Openshaw who received a letter with five orange pips inside. His father and uncle died after receiving the same letters. So John went to Sherlok Holmes for help. At first he told about his uncle. His uncle went to America when was young. There he becom a planter and was very successful. At the time of the war he become a colonel. But he suddenly brought his buisness and went to England in London for living. John’s father had a buisness in England too.  At one day his uncle received a envelope with three letter and each of its were marking as ‘K’. Also there are five orange pips in the envelope. His uncle began to burn some pappers. After seven weeks his uncle died.
Next John told about his father. He moved with family into uncle’s house. But after some time he received the same envelope with three ‘K’ and one more letter in which there was a guideline to burn some pappers. His father didn’t have this pappers and on after five days he died.
Then John become the master of the estate, but in one morning he received the same envelope. Becouse of this John came to Sherlok Holmes on the second day after receiving. A detective understood a problem and advised John to go home very carefull, becouse he knew that there is no time to do nothing. But next day in the morning Watson told that this boy was fall from the bridge yesterday in the evening.
So this case began a principle for Holmes. He examined the postmarks and saw that all letters were send from seaports (Pondicherry, Dundee, East London). Then he understood that dates of deathes were associated with places of sending the letters. Becouse the way of traveling from Pondicherry to London takes seven weeks like in first case, the way from Dundee to London takes five days like in the second case and became understandable why the young man John died so fast. So Sherlok Holmes supposed that the killer was a capitan of a ship. Then he supposed that ‘K.K.K.’ is a society and found in encyclopaedia that it’s mean ‘Ku Klux Klan’. He understood that John’s uncle was a member of this society and took some important pappers therefore he leaved America. Sherlok Holmes went to the seaport and found a registration journal. He found the ship, which was in the seaport in this three cases. Then he traced where was this ship moving and sent a letter with five orange pips in this seaport. Holmes was waiting while murders received the letter, but their ship got in the storm and was sinked. That is the and of story.
